What model of tuner are you using?

You can hear the notes to tune to with this online keyboard (http://www.bgfl.org/bgfl/custom/resources_ftp/client_ftp/ks2/music/piano/double_bass.htm) (set to a double-bass sound).

Little hint man, when doing a strange tuning such as this it is simpler than you think. Simply tune to standard with your tuner, you know it is in
E A D G B E. Just hold the Low E string and pick it and the d string at the same time, tune down until they have the same pitch. It's that simple. when you want standard again use your tuner. If you want to tune to C you know that the 3rd fret of the A string is C so hold there and pick those two. that is all it takes.

Hope this helps man, In the mean time, learn those pitches and trow that tuner away, If you do you will thank me! LOL
